National Protest in Wellington – Wednesday 10th December
We are encouraging you all to come to Wellington for the national protest which is taking place as parliament is sitting. We want to make this a huge expression of anger and disgust at the government’s betrayal of our values and our humanity by complicity with Israel’s genocide.
If you need support we are happy to pay petrol costs for those car pooling to Wellington. If you need a place to stay we will be organizing bunkroom accommodation at a holiday park on the 9th or 10th December. Contact your local Palestine group and let them know you are coming and what support you may need to get there.
In the meantime help build this national protest - share the poster above family and friends in Wellington and by putting on your social media pages.
National week of action targeting SodaStream in Noel Leeming stores - 22 to 30 November
Let’s all get stuck in with protests, pickets and stickers targeting Noel Leeming selling SodaStream products from genocidal, apartheid Israel.
Let’s get SodaStream off the shelves once and for all!
Many centres are organizing protests outside their local Noel Leeming branches with letters of complaint, requests for meetings and stickers on SodaStream products (Remember sticker the barcode to make it difficult to check out these genocide supporting products!)
We will be telling Noel Leeming and its customers – Don’t give money to Israel!

Protest your local MPs – Friday 5 December
On Oct 30th, about 12 different centers across the country protested outside the offices of their local Nat/NZ First/Act MPs
PSNA is supporting another series of nationwide MP protests on the 5th of December, with the intention of making them even larger than last time. These MP protests will add momentum to our national protest at parliament on the 10th of December.
The message we will send on the 5th of Dec is simple: The government must sanction Israel.

Palestine House is registered!
After three months of back-and-forth with various agencies, answering the why, when, where, who, and how, we finally succeeded in registering *Palestine House* as a charitable trust.
We are now building Palestine House here in Tāmaki Makaurau/Auckland: a multi-purpose community hub, information centre, museum, gallery, and library.
We need your support to make this vision a reality, help us raise awareness, and create a dedicated space for Palestine.

Sitting on the Fence – only a few days left to donate to get this film released for general screening!
Daniel Cleary is making a documentary called “Sitting on the Fence” about NZ’s complicity in the genocide. It’s an independent self-funded film which needs financial support.

Instagram – Shadow Bans for Israel. . .
Meta Shadowbanning pro-Palestine Instagram accounts
PSNA along with pro-Palestinian groups around the world has observed significant drops in page views in recent months as reports indicate the Israeli government is paying Meta vast sums of money to suppress pro-Palestinian content on Facebook and Instagram. This suppression has been going on for years as a Human Rights Watch report found in 2023 but it has stepped up recently as Israel puts huge amounts of money into what Netanyahu describes as Israel’s “eighth front” – the propaganda war.
To avoid this “shadow-banning” (where pro-Palestine content is shoved down the notifications list) we ask our supporters to proactively go to our Instagram pages (eg @psnaotearoa and @psnaōtautahi) to bypass the ban – we will have more to say in next week’s newsletter.
The verdict is in: Guilty!
GUILTY!
The esteemed jurors of the Right to Resist: International People's Tribunal on Palestine held in Barcelona last week unanimously found the Zionist entity of "Israel", the governments of the US, UK, Germany, France, and other complicit institutions and corporations guilty of the crimes of genocide and ecocide.
After two days of witness testimony, including survivors of genocide and ecocide in Gaza and the West Bank, the prosecution presented its indictment before the verdict was handed down.
The fight does not stop here, nor did it begin with the Tribunal. As lead prosecutor Jan Ferman stated in his closing remarks:
"The liberation of Palestine is the work of the Palestinians. The work of the rest of us is solidarity. Nazism was brought down by the resistance of the people of the world. The US intervention in Vietnam was ended by the struggle of the Vietnamese people and the solidarity of the people of the world. Apartheid was brought down by the struggle of the South African people and the solidarity of the people of the world.”
"With all these initiatives around the world of international solidarity, this Tribunal is part of this struggle for the right of the Palestinian people to the right of self-determination.”

For groups affiliated to PSNA we suggest the following actions could be taken at any time in support of this campaign
Asking your local backpacker accommodation to display the poster and draw it to the attention of any Israeli soldiers here on “rest and recreation” from the genocide.
Pasting the hotline poster (use the version in this newsletter which includes a contact email) around the vicinity of backpacker venues in your local area. This is already happening in some areas.
