Transport options

We recommend as much as you can to travel by Public Transport.

The new City Rail Link with it stations on the route of our Rally and near to March end are an excellent option.

For those with Gold Travel Cards most of your transport on the day will be free if you choose public transport.

The Best option on the day is to:

  • Travel from your home by Train, Bus or Ferry to Te Komititanga Britomart Square (Waitemata Rail Station)

  • Do the Rally and march ending up at Albert Park

  • Drop down from Albert Park to Te Waihorotiu Station (450 meters) and take the City Rail Link train home

  • Or take the train back to Te Komititanga Britomart Square to catch your bus or ferry home

If you are coming by train, you may want to travel early and:

  • Hold your signs and flags on the platform of the public transport service you choose for a round or two

  • When you get on the train, hold up your signs and unfurl your flags

  • Get off at a station or two along the way and hold up your signs and flags. (it costs no more as long as you stay on the platform and do not tag off)
