Article 16 (in regards to the protection of Pregnant women)

  • "The wounded and sick, as well as the infirm, and expectant mothers, shall be the object of particular protection and respect."

Article 33 (in regards to the demolition of Palestinian Houses)

  • "No protected person may be punished for an offence he or she has not personally committed. Collective penalties and likewise all measures of intimidation or of terrorism are prohibited. Pillage is prohibited. Reprisals against protected persons and their property are prohibited."

Article 49 (in regard to transfer of Arrested Palestinians from the Occupied Palestinian Territories into Israel)

Article 37 (in regards to arrest)

States Parties shall ensure that:

  • (a) No child shall be subjected to torture or other cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment. Neither capital punishment nor life imprisonment without possibility of release shall be imposed for offences committed by persons below eighteen years of age;

  • (b) No child shall be deprived of his or her liberty unlawfully or arbitrarily. The arrest, detention or imprisonment of a child shall be in conformity with the law and shall be used only as a measure of last resort and for the shortest appropriate period of time;

  • (c) Every child deprived of liberty shall be treated with humanity and respect for the inherent dignity of the human person, and in a manner which takes into account the needs of persons of his or her age. In particular, every child deprived of liberty shall be separated from adults unless it is considered in the child's best interest not to do so and shall have the right to maintain contact with his or her family through correspondence and visits, save in exceptional circumstances;

  • (d) Every child deprived of his or her liberty shall have the right to prompt access to legal and other appropriate assistance, as well as the right to challenge the legality of the deprivation of his or her liberty before a court or other competent, independent and impartial authority, and to a prompt decision on any such action.

United Nations – Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People

In 1975, by its resolution 3376, the UN General Assembly established the Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People (CEIRPP), and requested it to recommend a programme of implementation to enable the Palestinian people to exercise their inalienable rights to self-determination without external interference, national independence and sovereignty; and to return to their homes and property from which they had been displaced.

United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East

Following the 1948 Arab-Israeli conflict, UNRWA was established by United Nations General Assembly Resolution 302 (IV) of 8 December 1949 to carry out direct relief and works programmes for Palestine refugees. The Agency began operations on 1 May 1950.

Jewish and other Voices

Some people may think that All Jews support Israel in its Racism, Terrorism, Land Theft, Ethnic Cleansing and Apartheid.

The fact is that there are many decent Jews and Jewish Groups in Israel and around the world who are working hard to expose the abuses of zionist Israel and calling for the respect of Human Rights in Palestine/Israel and all that encompasses.

Gisha

Gisha is an Israeli not-for-profit organization, founded in 2005, whose goal is to protect the freedom of movement of Palestinians, especially Gaza residents. Gisha promotes rights guaranteed by international and Israeli law.

Independent Jewish Voices

The slogan "Jews And Arabs Refuse To Be Enemies" has been used for years in Israel by both Jewish and Arab Israelis and Palestinians to advocate for peace.

Jews for Justice in Palestine  - mesarvot

MachsomWatch

MachsomWatch is a volunteer organization of Israeli women who are peace activists from all sectors of society. We oppose the Israeli occupation in the area known as the West Bank, we oppose the appropriation of Palestinian land and the denial of Palestinian human rights.  We support the right of Palestinians to move freely in their land and oppose the checkpoints which severely restrict Palestinian daily life.

Neturei-Karta is a group of Orthodox Jews who refuse to recognize the existence or authority of the so-called "State of Israel" and make a point of publicly demonstrating their position, the position of the Torah and authentic unadulterated Judaism.


No Way to Treat a Child – US

The No Way to Treat a Child campaign seeks to challenge and end Israel's prolonged military occupation of Palestinians by exposing widespread and systematic ill-treatment of Palestinian children in the Israeli military detention system. It is a joint project of Defense for Children International - Palestine and American Friends Service Committee.

The Jewish Liberation Theology Institute

Many Jews all over the world are deeply committed to social justice and human rights in Palestine and are looking for ways to express this commitment Jewishly. The Jewish Liberation Theology Institute provides a space for people to be able to act Jewishly without the constraints put on social justice activists by the Jewish establishment.

Tikun Olam ("repairing the world") is a Seattle-based political blog that regularly reports on Israeli security matters.


Women Wage Peace

A broad grassroots movement founded in the summer of 2014 following Operation Protective Edge. Tens of thousands of members, Jews and Arabs, united in a demand for a mutually binding non-violent accord, agreeable to both sides.

Zochrot
